Hi John I had a similar problem where suddenly all my Merge efforts became mono. Noticed this in the size of the rendered wav - ie drop by half the usual size. Noel offered a solution which it turned out to be. Go to Tracks menu and the Merge button. . . See if perhaps there is a check in the bottom right-hand box "merge audio to mono". It worked for me - thanks again Noel. I have no idea how it toggled in the first place.  Hope this is it. Ian
