All --

Please help.

I am new to Biab; so, please excuse me if I am not using the right terms here, but here is the gist of what I am trying to do.

I am trying to find out how to load avoid persistence of mixer patch settings from song to song.

In short, I want the mixer patch settings (that is, instruments to be used) to be loaded from the song itself.

For example, I had been playing a bunch of jazz tunes and it was the standard set of instruments-- grand piano, acoustic bass, drums/brushes, melody as pad-a-bell or sax, etc.

Then, I loaded a country blues tune and it changed the melody to something like honky tonk piano BUT then I loaded a jazz song and the honky tonk piano was still there, sounding a bit strange in a slow jazz ballad standard.

So, I do not (in general) want to change whatever instruments come with a given tune by default.

That is, (in general) I need a lot of practice so I just want to load tunes quickly and easily and practice playing rather than arranging a song, fussing with settings, etc.

So, how can I set Baib to auto-load the "standard" instruments for a given song in a given style? How can I do that?

Also, are there ways to manage sets of instruments, such that I can load a song and then "apply" a set of instruments to that song? How can I do that?

Please send any quick help, hints, links, etc.

Thanks.
