Makes perfect sense Danny. And a lot of it has to do with what you do. Remember, you gig live. I RARELY play outside the home and when I do it's 3 songs at songwriter night, and my originals, once they are down, are pretty much going to stay like they are. Of course I don't erase the WAV and Real Band files so I can make changes if I like, but I rarely revisit. The song tells a story, and once my story is told, it's behind me.

MP3s save at 320 have SO little sonic difference from WAvs that I'd bet an iced tea that if I played 10 songs nobody would be able to tell which 3 were WAV and which were MP3. By the time you blast them through a PA system..... Everybody supports the bandwagon party line about compressing and all the rhetoric about response and lossy formatting and all the yada yada that goes with the gospel according to the PG Forum, but honestly, it's just like the snobs who claim to know when a system is using Monster cables. Yet they couldn't tell the difference in a comparison test that used, in one test scenario, a coat hanger.

As my southern friend would say, honey hush.....
