Bonjour, Apparemment, le forum PG ne comporte pas de rubrique dans laquelle les utilisateurs puissent présenter les musiques qu'ils bricolent avec Band-in-a-box... c'est un peu dommage... Pour la part, je signale une page à partir de laquelle on peut écouter mes chansonnettes, que j'ai toutes orchestrées avec Bb et Rb : Cliquez ici J'espère que d'autres parmi vous viendront proposer ici leurs biaberies... John-Luke, tu dois avoir réalisé des choses épatantes, non ? A vous lire et vous entendre...

Je n'en reviens pas quand je vois (ou plutôt quand j'entends...) ce que tu obtiens et ce que j'obtiens comme résultat!!! Ce que tu réussis à faire là est proprement incroyable : je suppose que tu utilises pour cela les "real tracks"? Pour ma part, j'introduis ma musique note à note sur la piste soliste, ensuite quelques variations sur la piste mélodie puis les accords... et je laisse BIAB faire le reste. C'est juste potable, mais suffisant pour l'utilisation que j'en fais. C'est comme si je faisais du KARAOKE : je chante sur des airs connus ("La langue de chez nous" / Yves Duteil, "La montagne" / Jean Ferrat, "Ma cabane au Canada" / Line Renaud, "Mon vieux" / Daniel Guichard, etc...) des paroles en wallon de mon cru. Et comme mon public n'est pas trop difficile, ça passe. Ton idée de mettre chacun ses chansons en ligne sur le forum est bonne, mais tu dois comprendre que les miennes n'intéresseraient pas grand monde! Déjà à quelques kilomètres en dehors de ma région, on ne me comprends plus... Juste une question en passant : comment as-tu fait pour maîtriser à ce point l'outil BIAB? Tu as trouvé un filon de renseignements, un bouquin, un autre utilisateur encore plus chevronné?... Encore toutes mes félicitations pour ton travail mais aussi pour ton hyper-activité sur le forum. Si tu n'habites pas (trop) loin de chez moi, j'aimerais te rencontrer. Tu crèches loin de ma Wallonie?  Au plaisir de te lire, mathusalem

Merci à tous les 2 pour vos commentaires. Mais en fait, et sans fausse modestie, c'est Biab qui est génial, à condition (à mon avis) de fignoler avec un séquenceur (Realband par ex).
J'utilise beaucoup les realtracks, sauf quand j'ai besoin d'une séquence de notes précises, auquel cas je fais du midi, avec le Ketron qui propose des sons bien meilleurs que le synthé de Bb ; ou bien s'il s'agit de guitare, je les joue moi-même.
Pour le midi, je gère les partitions avec un autre logiciel, qui me permet d'en manipuler l'expression bien plus facilement qu'avec l'édition midi de Rb (qui n'est pas son point fort), puis je les réintègre dans Rb sous forme de piste wav.
J'utilise ces outils depuis 2011, et j'ai progressé parce que j'y passe énormément de temps ; faut ben que la retraite serve à quelque chose... John-Luke m'a dépanné plusieurs fois ici même, ainsi que le support PG, qui est rapide et sympa.
Mon regret est que ce forum ne soit pas plus actif. Je suis souvent sur le forum d'un autre éditeur musical, où les échanges sont nombreux, intéressants, et très formateurs. Pourtant, il doit bien y avoir un nombre important d'utilisateurs de Biab en français ? Comprends pas... Toujours est-il que ma proposition qui débute ce fil fait un foutu bide !

Tout d'abord, je fais mes excuses pour mon francais - je suis anglais et mon francais est pas genial!
J'aime lire le forum francais, parse que J'espere improver mon francais, mais malheursement, il reste toujours la meme.
Je veux dire que vous avez un tres bon site a musique et j'aime beaucoup votre chansonettes. Comme vous avez dit, c'est dommage que ce forum ne soit pas plus actif. Si vous permettez, je voudrais participer de temps en temps. Du mois, vous pouvez rire a mon francais!

J'ai regardé ton site, tu sembles te situer musicalement à un niveau plus qu'excellent... Malgré tout, tu utilises Biab ? Dans quel but ?

Parce que j'apprend a faire musique, le plus de mon travaille est Power Tracks Pro Audio (PTPA). Je utilise BiaB un petit peu, mais j'ai besoin d'acheter une version meilleur. Je ne sais pas en francais, mais en anglais nous dissons "up-grade". Les nouveau Real Tracks sont genial, quoi?
Il y a une version nouveau bientot - 2012.5 Peut etre j'acheterai cela.

Alors la, je dis "STOP"!
Evidemment qu'il y a un forum où l'on peut charger ses chefs d'oeuvre,
à savoir sur le forum principal (en anglais, bien sur).
Sous le premier chapitre "general discussion", le deuxième point est
"User showcase" et l'on peut, en cliquant sur les interventions des BiaB-autes
d'abord écouter ce qu'ils produisent, même si on cause pas anglais...
Bien que je ne l'ai pas fait moi-même, je suppose qu'il est facile de charger
les morceaux en BiaB/Real Band.

J'ai fait une suggestion, deja, a Peter Gannon (Monsieur PG lui meme) que le forum "User Showcase" pourrait devenir international. Je suppose il sera ca va, mais il est le "Webmaster". J'ecrirai encore quand j'ai une reponse.

Salut a tous
je viens faire un petit tour par ici car j'ai croisé ROG sur le forum anglais & il m'as dit que c'est pas très animé par ici. Il faut pas avoir froid aux yeux. Ce site est tout simplement genial, Il y a beaucoup de tutorials pour aider (je vous le donne, sont en anglais) Je peux aider a traduire des choses si besoin car je suis anglophone d'origine (comme ROG) donc surement plus facile pour moi de vous aider si vous avez des questions sur ce qui ce passe sur le forum anglais. En tout cas, n'hesitez pas a demander.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing.
