All I'm sayin' is... post the junk on CL and see what happens.

When I replaced my oil furnace with a hybrid gas/heat pump system, I wanted rid of the old oil tank, so I half jokingly posted it on CL. Almost immediately it sold. The guy who bought it cuts them in half and makes huge barbecue grills that he sells to organizations that raise money via cookouts. NEVER in a million years would I have thought that thing was sellable.

When you sell the old motherboard, list it as "vintage" or "hard to get". For some reason those words have the same effect on CL shoppers as Karo syrup has on ants
