Folks aren't chiming in because this is the wish list for new features in the program. They will have figured you were making a wish, not asking for help. Post on the RealBand User Forum to request help.
But RHARV gave you the answer. Check the boxes "Play Back", "Allow Count-in before playback", and "Silent Count In". You can specify how many bars to count in and you can also make that setting permanent, which will override any metronome settings that might have been saved with a song.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
