I use Cubase too. The learning curve for BIAB is far shorter than that for Cubase. You can get a song off the ground in less than a minute. If you want deep tweaking, then there is lots to know, but if you understand MIDI already this will help.
Real tracks are the place to be and whats really good for you is that there is lots for you - the country and rock tracks are among the most extensively represented along with Jazz. My guess is that as soon as you realise exactly how ggood a RT is and how many excellent tracks there are, you will be as tempted as a dog in a butchers shop...
