My life before Jesus was like the void before creation
only darkness there was no light to be found
but then a knock so gentle and when i let the Savior enter
the Light shown through he turned my life around
He smoothed a heart so callous it was a major restoration
to turn a heart so solid into clay
that is why I praise Him because of His salvation
and the love that He poured out on me that day

That day He breathed in me new life
That day He spoke and there was light
The evening and the morning I will shout in endless praise
for what He did when He came in to my heart that day

I know how He salvaged me when I was drowning
in my sin filled with shades of gray
pulled down by the current He filled me with His Spirit
I thank Him for the miracle that day
