I'm still at this songwriting business, just had a long dry spell (and a hot one too) Then these lyrics were sent to me to put to music and I was so touched emotionally by these lyrics that I just had to write what I felt would carry the message in them. The lyrics were written by Wayne Stegall so the music is my only contribution. This was all done in BIAB using RealTracks. Hi Val,
I congratulate you on a fine effort. You've written a very beautiful and haunting melody. I think your choice of waltz is a terrific fit for both the sentiment of the lyrics and the melody. I'd love to hear it sung.

Thank you all for your comments. Just realized that I forgot to take out the count-in before I made the MP3 to post to soundclick. Oh well, I will be re-posting it to Soundclick when the vocal demo is made by the daughter of the lyric writer.
