Your present method will cost you a fortune for White-Out and Magic Markers. Ditch it.

You get repeat-signs only after setting up your repeats with the "Repeats, Codas, First and Second Endings" dialog. Right click in a space on your chord sheet and select that feature. When it opens up, study the choices available, and use the help screen liberally. Try something simple first.

It takes a little while. It is a messy, inconvenient, ugly, outmoded dialog. Once you get into trouble, come back, so we'll have something to talk about. The Repeats menu does work, once you grasp it. It's not even buggy.

PS: You will not see any repeats on your chord screen unless you have the "Fake" box checked. In Leadsheet view, they won't appear or print without having "Fake" mode on. They are never displayed in the notation scroll windows, of course.
