Yes, he will be missed. My favourite of his is The Way We Were.

My wife and I attended a solo performance by him at the University of Alberta auditorium in the winter of 1987/88.

It was shortly after Black Monday (19 October 1987), and he asked the audience for suggestions for a song for which he would come up with a melody and lyrics. It only took him a few moments, and he produced a pretty good lyric and melody on the topic of Black Monday.

A fabulous memory of him.

He was a marvelous pianist and entertainer, and as a piano player, I have enormous respect for him.
