Bob's idea about zipping files is a good one because the MGU files are typically quite small and zipped files would be even smaller.
If, however, you want to send audio files as well (say rendered BIAB files, etc.), I suggest setting up Dropbox on both computers. Then you simply copy and paste the file(s) into a Dropbox folder on your computer that's shared between the two of you. Dropbox will do the rest and it will be uploaded and copied to the same Dropbox folder on your friend's computer. The program YouSendIt also has this ability.
