Things change rapidly in the computer and home audio arena. This is new from Behringer: http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEH1204USBIt's a full mixer with effects, phantom power AND a USB interface. I'm using an external mixer now with my EMU 1820M that uses two PCI slots. I also had to be very careful to make sure my mobo had those slots when I got my new PC last year. The EMU I bought used for $175 (over $500 new) a few years ago and the mixer was about $125. This new mixer does both jobs and probably has better specs overall for $150. Time and progress marches on. Bob
