I'm fairly sure that all of them didn't have a snap on pad. I've only played one once and it didn't have it.
When I google "1967 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean" images, most of them don't have it. Of course there are also photos of guitars that don't fit the description.
My copy of the "Vintage Guitar Price Guide" is in storage so I can't check it there. It's a great resource for photos and specs.
It'll also give you a bad case of GAS!
