Hi Alan

Looks nice, when i built mine i just had one piece of wood 33 X 10 X 1-1/4 inches cut the two heads for the machines, stuck 2 pieces of hard wood about 1/4 " and the same size as my epiphone fingerboard and made up 2 plates made of stainless steel as it is not magnatised by the pickups, the bridge and the pickups where all put on these 2 pieces of stainless steel, the pickups are a pieces of steel with 4 eclipse magnets stuck on the back of the plate,in the piece of steel i put 6 bolts so you can adjust them and round these bolts i wound the pickups (which was the hardest job) the wire was 46(whatever) which was quite thin and i put 5000 turns and used 2 of these on each pickup and they sound quite good,

i wonder what the tuning they use on the 8 string is, its not a bad price if they include the pickups ,anyway what ever you decide they all look pretty good good luck with your choice,i could not put a photo with this reply as my brothers camera is playing up

best wishes Dave

I always play the right notes but not always in the right order
