Not sure why it isn't working. It's supposed to. Make sure you have the latest patch version of BIAB.

A couple of things to keep in mind; many Kontakt instruments limit the range they play in. So for example, if you lower the bass an octave, you may find yourself below the acceptable note range for that particular bass.

Also, remember, this is an octave setting, not a semi-tone setting. So a -1 means drop the octave by one. Don't use -12 or +12 to change the octave.

I tried it with my BIAB and it worked correctly. I selected Kontakt as the VSTi and then selected a bass instrument, assigned it to channel 2 (since BIAB bass is on channel 2). I dropped the octave by one and it missed a lot of notes, because it was below the acceptable range. I set it to zero, and it played properly, but close to the bottom of the range. I set it to +1 and it played an octave up. I watched on the little piano on the Kontakt screen to see that this was happening, as well as listening to the results.

Don't know why it didn't work for you.

BTW, I'm using BIAB 2012.5.
