RB/BIAB doesn't see my recently installed Sound Card #173338 09/15/12 10:05 AM RealBand

OP jazaddict Apprentice J Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 130	Hey smart & groovy folks, I have a CardDeluxe that I installed. Why? I dunno...bored. Wanted to hear alternative DA conversion...blah blah blah... I also have my MAdio-Delta Rbus that I used and still use...still works. But the CardD won't show up on my RB/BIAT Audio Driver list. Ironically I can see the UNINSTALLED RPC card (like the Delta, but I don't have enough PCI slots, so I pulled the RPC). I "guess" I have to uninstall the RPC driver software (I assumed it'd be ignored when it didn't see the physical card; yah, not so much). But I've installed the CardD driver. Its in the Windows (7/64 incidentally) Sound Devices .... SONAR finds it. double-you Tee Eff question-mark. THx in advance.

OP jazaddict Apprentice J Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 130	Well, its enabled. Here's more....the driver properties has an ASIO tab...set ur buffer. So I assumed it was an ASIO driver....but when I switch to MME drivers in BIAB/RB, Poof! there it is. So...hmmm.....wanted to use ASIO...the MME things never work well for me. Can't recall if SONAR considers it ASIO or not. :/ btw...thanks for the LIGHTENING response Last edited by jazaddict; 09/15/12 10:29 AM.

rharv Veteran Joined: May 2000 Posts: 22,612 Mi., USA	If you are using the same slot and did not uninstall the drivers for the previous card, this may cause a conflict. Is the RBus disabled? If so it shouldn't show in list. One thing to try is to delete the Realband.INI and RB.CFG (Both in Realband folder)and restart RB to make the program re-create the drivers list. Note that doing this will put the program back to factory default settings. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!
