So I complained finally about being always cold, dumb, and sitting staring at nothing.

Blood tests said my Thyroid was out of whack, or probably done in by radiation.

I got new pills, synthetic hormone.

I hadn't read a book in almost 3 years, I figured I was getting OLD, tired, chemo did me in, etc. I read 2 the first week. I could not understand the page I just read for ever, now I can read well again.

I'm only 1/2 as cold as before.

I have cleaned the garage, the basement, tore up broadloom in 2 rooms to reveal hardwood floors.
I bought a pickup and carted 4 loads to the dump. Bought 3 loads of varying types of dirt.

Re-arranged all my files, moved my computers to a new room.

If you need your garage cleaned or something like that, I'm soon available. I'm running out of stuff to do.

LOL.

Now if only the hip replacement, and something to fix the arthritic fingers could come along, I'd be Singing in yer rain.

I don't need the 'lectric blanket so far, the wife is HOT! Comes in flashes, but hey.

My doc thinks my voice might come back a bit. Yikes. Singing in yer shower!

In the key of way too low. I can almost make A1, (55 Hz) sound ok my voice is solo w.

Don't dispair. Speaking of which I never cut my hair for 3 years. Ponytail was OK. But the dog/puppy grabbed it one too many times and the clippers came out and I'm near bald again. Too bad about the winter. It's down to 5C tonight, and 0 is only a few days away.

Keep on the sunny side! My Momma still loves me, she was here for her 62nd wedding anniversary with Dad today. 10 people and a dog for supper. I'm nuts. But I can still make good bread/buns, and we did a few tunes with the flute and piano.

I've got Holiday for Strings stuck in my skull right now, anyone want to take it? And some other 60's stuff.

If you do Facebook, look me up, John Conley is all you should need. I wish they John Conlee would send me 1/2 the royalties!

2400 bucks got me a 2002 GMC Sierra (single cab, no crew or 1/2), with a just installed rebuilt transmission and drive train, some nice rust, good rubber, and the dog to sit beside me. I set all those buttons to the country station for fun, the wife is calling me NUTS! (I am, we always had just classical buttons!) Well one jazz but it's on Toronto and totally iffy.

There I am, taking the dog out to country roads, trying to whistle, listening to songs about tractors and trucks, picking up random pieces of ash (all our ash trees died, which is about 1 tree out of 20). I'm putting a wood burning stove in the garage, and sitting with the dog and pretending to smoke the pipe.

I figured the gov't pensions were good until I was 90, I can't check out yet, they OWE me cash!!!
