I note the Ua-1G has the same "Advanced-Basic" slide switch that is on the Edirol UM1-SX that I use (and the 1g is also made by Edirol -Roland) and I use the advanced mode (using the supplied driver) for most things. The basic mode is where it is to be used ONLY as a class compliant device. This means it needs no drivers and is seen automatically as a device by Windows, Mac OSX and iOS...(still waiting on Android)

Might I suggest you try the advanced mode (make sure you install the supplied drivers) or if you are already using advanced, try the basic setting..
