The book gives an insight into the world of rock over many eras. The creative process, the recording, etc. I don't only read books where I agree with the politics of the writer, that would make for a very narrow view of things.

At one time my parents thought there was only one book worth reading, and the more they sought to narrow my mind, the more I explored what they were forbidding.

All books were verboten on Sunday except the one. And it was mandatory to spend the afternoon with it, locked in your room, other materials taken away.

We visited friends in Michigan, and they found out we allowed mixedwimmen and wire rimmed glasses and they told us not to come back, the Baptist Church forbade those things.

It took me a month to find out mixedwimmen was mixed swimming. Strike me down and turn me to salt!
