I'll look into that. It might work. Especially if there is just a small amount of midi data (like a short solo) that needs to be on a different track. When I try it I'll get back on here and let people know if it works.

Still, I think the ability to copy melody/soloist tracks to BiaB tracks would be nice.

Yes I realize RB would do this. I just don't find RB as convenient for jamming with. RB doesn't copy all the BiaB song parameters, such as VSTs, so I'd need to create sequence files for all my BiaB covers. It's just not that practical for what I do.
