I want to experiment with it based upon, what looks like, a very nice GUI but the 64-bit version crashes Firefox. I'll try Chrome and report back. Meanwhile, is anyone using it or willing to comment on it, pro or con?
Snip: The 64-bit version downloaded flawlessly in Chrome. It certainly LOOKS nice. I'll play with it over the weekend and report back.
BTW, it's open source.

Don,
I've had a go at LMMS, and it is full-featured - very capable.
However, it seems to be set up to accommodate Fruity Loops and FL Studio users. The divergence from my usual combination of DAW, audio editor, drum program and synth sequencer was too dramatic for me to apply my current skills and get any kind of meaningful results at all.
So, I bailed, regretfully.
If you have previous experience with FL studio or other "trackers", it may be just your cup of tea...

Thanks, Oren. Agreed, its not for the faint of heart like us. I can accomplish everything in BIAB and RB anyway but I was drawn to the way kewl GUI.

JohnJohnJohn, thanks for those links, those freebies look very interesting. I shall try some of them later.
As Oren says LMMS looks very similar to FL Studio,which I have, but I won't download it as I still have a lot to learn in FL Studio and the other DAW, Cubase SX1, I use with BIAB. In fact I have still have a lot to learn in BIAB as well!!
Don, have you tried FL Studio?? as you can download a "trial "copy and play with it but with save disabled. If you buy one of the versions, as I have, you get free updates for life!! I have tried to use FL Studio as the VSTi in BIAB but my computer doesn't like it, doesn't crash just acts like a spoilt kid is the easy way to describe it. NOW if BIAB had rewire, as Rysard has put in the wish list, OMG that would be PERFECT, for me.
