Thanks for starting this thread about windows 8.

I ran the latest upgrade assistant and I am no longer getting "your cpu is not compatable" that I did a few months ago, so wondering if they have dropped that requirement?

I have an AMD quad core computer with 4GB of memory.

I still want to retain my windows 7 and dual boot with 8, in fact I have two copies of windows 7 already on my computer one for online banking only and other for general surfing.

Just wondering if I was to install another clean copy of windows 7 on a different partition would it let me install windows 8 then ok on that partition and would my existing windows 7 still dual boot and product key not become deactivated?

Windows 7 came with my computer.
