I was a little child in the 60s who was lucky enough to have an older sister who used to listen to the radio all the time. And I still love that music today.

I would also very much like to see Styles based from that time but don’t know how one would categorize such an eclectic musical period.

Here are some of the top Billboard hits of the early 60s:

Theme From 'A Summer Place' - Percy Faith
Cathy's Clown - the Everly Brothers
I'm Sorry - Brenda Lee
Running Bear - Johnny Preston
Save The Last Dance for Me - the Drifters
Teen Angel - Mark Dinning
El Paso - Marty Robbins
The Twist - Chubby Checker
Alley-Oop - Hollywood Argyles
The Lion Sleep Tonight - the Tokens
Calcutta - Lawrence Welk
Runaround Sue - Dion
Travelin' man - Ricky Nelson
Big Girls Don't Cry - the Four Seasons
Roses Are Red (My Love) - Bobby Vinton
Johnny Angel - Shelley Fabares
He's a Rebel - the Crystals
Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett
Dominque - The Singing Nun
Surf City - Jan & Dean

From orchestral to middle-of-the-road pop to Motown to doo-w*p to country to dance craze to novelty to teen idols to television show stars to surf music to Lawrence Welk!

How could you incorporate all that?
