I'm presently using a Digitech Vocalist rackmount harmonizer for my live gigs.
It will take audio input from either a guitar or midi out from a keyboard as a reference to harmonize
my Synthophone patches.
Does anyone happen to know of a software program that will do this?
I'd like to eliminate most of my hardware to lighten my equipment.

If you installed Amplitube (which came with BIAB 2012 I think), There is a harmony stomp box that works with it. I don't think the harmonizer comes with the free version, but the Custom Shop sells all of the pieces of Amplitube gear separately. You could buy that one item for 5 or 10 bucks.
Several people here are using Amplitube in real time, so it should do what you want.

Probably the biggest part of what I need, is the ability of the software to read the chords being played by our keyboard player, in real time, and create harmonies to what I'm playing.

Mick, I'm noodling a bit here. If midi inputs from the keyboard to Realband with TChelicon already setup for your desired results. I think you could play your sax to RB track treating it as though its a vocal and harmony would be generated. Two weakness in this noodling. First.... First of all the key of the board player would have to match the key your playing it I think. Second... Your Sax track/s output would have to be run to the amp/s your using. All of the midi tracks would have to be turned down to Zero thruput. Third.... You have to have a laptop in equation... Assume due to software request you do... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had been tinkering with TChelicon harmonizing a realtrack and it worked
just fine.

It might be possible to simply setup RB TChelicon,
play your Sax to a track as tho recording thru TC and to audio outputs.------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have a Yamaha PSR-3000 with harmony built in for realtime use. It can read either the Chords, generating selected harmony. Or it can read the upper keys and harmonize against them. Only cost me a bit of time to make these noodles, so nothing lost. Good luck!
