I considered that too, but then it would not give the contrast between octaves that the OP is looking for. As far as I know, that is a global setting.
And I agree, in those cases where it is important, I mute the RealTrack bass and use a MIDI bass.

The XPro & Xtra Styles PAKs are not included in any Band-in-a-Box® package.

They will not work with the Pro or MegaPAK version as they require the RealTracks included in the UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, or Audiophile Edition.
