I suppose this is a cool toy but I am not sold on the "why" part of it. Don't we all already record guitar into our computerized tracks thoguht other methods?

I supposed the market is there for people who own only the iPad and not small home studios where we have mixers and computer interfaces such.

I recently went to see Eliot Lewis perform. For those who don't watch, he is the keyboard player for Daryl Hall and is on Live From Daryl's House every month. He played guitar live and sang over iPad backing tracks just like all of us do.

I use my iPad for music in my Akai Synthstation49 running Garageband. I do it only for the sounds, because the Rhodes in Garageband is great. As is the Hammond, complete with drawbars on the screen.
