Assuming that it is a jazz style.... One common embellishment that sometimes clashes with a song, is added "altered" tones, such as b9 (flat 9), b13 and #11. These will sometimes get played on a 7th chord (eg. C7). The solution is to type C9 instead of C7. That way you will get a "pure" C9 with no extra tones added. In Jazz, Adding the 9th to a C7 usually sounds fine.

Other than that, use the "simple" option as it sounds like you did, which reduces embellishements, specifically altered tensions and rhythmic variations. But not all RealTracks have this option available - you can look in the "simple" column in the RealTracks picker to see if you're one has that option available. It usually works quite well.




It was _BOSSAN, and yes it sounded like it was adding altered tones to the chords. I have to rush out right now, but I will play around with it more later. Rhythmically it sounded OK I think.
