All of your bar settings will shift if you either have BiaB generate an intro or if you insert 4 bars then add your own intro.
My normal practice is to always save a song before doing anything that may drastically change the song. So before I change chords, add/delete bars, change from a style I like to try new ones etc. I always make a backup(s) called songtitle1, songtitle2 etc just in case.
