if people are actually interested in a get-together, I could reserve a cabin on/near the blue ridge parkway and announce the date. Anybody who wants to show up with an instrument (or without one, for that matter) would be welcome.

I don't know how many people are following this thread, but if there's real interest it would deserve a separate thread with an attention-getting title.

Holidays are for family, so it would probably be at some obscure time of year, announced well in advance so people could make plans.

NC isn't particularly sunny this time of year, but we could opt for a beach house in summer or a mountain cabin in the fall.

responses to this idea will tend to encourage its progress. No response will pretty much ensure that it falls through the cracks.

Your thoughts? Anybody think they would attend such a gathering?
