Working with SampleTank in BIAB, I had to look up MIDI channels a few times the past several days, and it occurs to me that a little graphic addition might be very helpful.
If the current (presumably default) MIDI channel for a given Instrument were right there on the Mixer, just to the left of the Instrument name -- maybe in a circle of contrasting colors, e.g., yellow and black or blue and white -- then we could open up SampleTank or Aria or whatever and know what we're doing without going back and forth between Prefs and the main screen. It'd also be easier to set pretty much any VSTi or DXi.
Just a thought.
