That's odd. Works just fine here (even with IE).
Try a different browser, perhaps?

How did you install; from the USB hard drive or from downloaded files? If the former, then I'm not sure how that will play out, because I wrote the tutorial before the USB drive was available (based on the beta test). If the latter, then you should have received a download link for it.
I just received my USB drive, so I'll take a look at it in the next day or so and see how it handles the Sampletank installation.

should install the HQ instruments even if i have the full ST installed, or just resort to adding instruments separately?
I guess the real question is do the HQs live comfortable with all my other ST instruments?

The BIAB instruments get installed into their own folder, so they don't interfere with the other instruments used by ST.

Hard to say; do you have a previous trial version of SampleTank installed, perhaps? The authorization process is what allows your computer to use SampleTank. I would try uninstalling SampleTank and the current authorization manager, then rebooting and trying the installation one more time.

Now that my RB problem is fixed, (I hope) here is a question about Sampletank.........Is there a way to set it up like coyote to automatically play the proper parts or is it like JABB one at a time? If not I can't figure out how to insert instruments on tracks, again I'm showing my stupidity? Illistrated pictures would help alot.........Thanks

I also have problems with IK plugins... in short, they don't work. I have been in an endless Authorization Manager nightmare loop with IK. All the software registered fine, until it came to time to actually use it. Then I get ' Authorization Manager out of date' so I d/l the new, which of course is identical the to AM that I already have. ... and I go to use and ... 'Authorization Manager out of date' .. and here we go again. IK put me through the hoops .. remove AM, d/l again, open again .. and ... 'Authorization Manager is out of date ' .... After a dozen remove and u/l again, I finally asked IK if it were not easier and much less agro to delete all of the IK stuff .. they replied .. upload the Authorization Manager ... uh huh .. been there .. done that .. Frustrating thing is .. all their software registered, have the id codes, but it refuses to let me use the software .. with every attempt ... yep ... 'Authorization Manager is out of date ...... "

I wonder if your computer's internal clock is set correctly? A dead battery on the motherboard can do that. If the installer thinks it is now January 1980 or something like that, the installer may object.

I also am having issues with SampleTank and its corresponding effect on the MIDI SuperTracks.
I've tried to test the MIDI SuperTracks by double-clicking on a MIDI SuperTrack with BIAB 2013 closed and opened. Using M_SWWLZS.SGU as an example, I hear everything but the piano. The piano is BLUE but no sound from the piano channel. I've opened the SampleTank interface and physically set all 16 channels to piano (bright) but still no piano sound.
The program has been installed and an authorization code entered. No sound is generated.
My question: Is there a way to set BIAB so MIDI SuperTracks will use the Roland or Coyote midi synths also included with BIAB? I just want to hear, select and use the MIDI SuperTracks; at this stage I could care less if the sound source is SampleTank.

Amplitube and Sample Tank ... I have on IK last suggestions - removed all of their products and reloaded and installed them, with the Authorization Manager ONLY u/l and installed following the others. They are now registered and they are present, I see their folders ... only one problem .. BB doesn't find them. "Error: No SampleTank Instruments at F:\Instruments * not found in F:\Instruments\Band-in-a-Box\ . . . .
At Noels suggestion my BB and RB are on my F drive. So I also installed the IK products to the F drive, but a portion seems to have defaulted to C:Program Files x86.
I am not a computer wiz guys . . obviously BB cant find them because I have done something in the IK install/setup that BB doesn't like.
Do I need to create/move some instrument folders around, and if so, move what and where ?
Thanks

You're trying to be too clever. Just follow the default install instructions to the letter. Get it all working then mess around with moving stuff if you insist. There's a difference between PG stuff going on a different drive and anybody's elses program. The x86 thing is normal on a Win 7 machine, if you don't know what that is then Google it. Digital audio set ups are tricky which is why you will wind up being a computer wiz or you'll just give it up. The reason for that is this type of work is not supported by anybody except us. We're basically on our own because we represent a tiny fraction of computer users.
I'm saying this with a friendly smile Windy, not trying to be insulting or anything. PG and John both published specific, exact instructions how to do this, why would you deviate when you say you're not a computer wiz? If it doesn't work for you then I respectfully say you're not paying attention to detail. Pretend you're preparing your resume for a job interview, you'd be paying attention to detail then, right? Do it again with no deviations from the instructions.

Hi Jonn, Did you read John Ford's "installing Sampletank manual" found at the link in the first post in the thread? HERE is the link again if the original one slipped by you. John Ford's instructions are very comprehensive. Regards, Noel

Jonn, When I downloaded the 2012.5 to 2013 upgrade, the Sampletank installation file was part of the downloaded files. I've highlighted which one it was below. If you have the USB drive upgrade, the file can be found under PGMusic\Installers on the USB drive. If I remember correctly, the "Setup.exe" on the USB drive will methodically work through all the installers and there is nothing more you need to do other than run that program. Hope this helps, Noel
