You are doing something wrong.
To do this, you should :
1. Opt|Preferences|Overrides setting, uncheck the Volume check box.
2. Set the bass volume to 30, and then right click on Combo, and select "Select Current Mix as Default"
Now all of your loaded songs will have Volume of 30 (and whatever other volumes are in your default mix).
You can load them in quickly (Shift F8 to load next song, and F2 to save the song)
(or press the NEXT button, then the SAVE button)
