Global Song Over-rides and Song Settings both have various toggles as to what is or is not activated or imported at opening/set-up of a song - but I can't see anything relating to tempo.
Each style has a tempo setting. If you load the song demo for a style, the song sets the appropriate tempo. But so far as I can see, if you then apply a different style to an existing song, the style tempo doesn't come with it. Is it possible to 'enable' this ? I wouldn't want it all the time, but I think there are times when it would be useful.

Maybe I should put it another way:
If you go Styles>Edit>Misc, at the top right of the screen/box is a place to enter a tempo (metronome) number. Look at everything else in that screen, and they all are clearly settings - you check or uncheck, or specify, and you'd expect it all to take effect when you exited back out of through the windows.
The flyover for the tempo slot says 'default style tempo' . But my experience (see first post) is that it is precisely NOT a default setting. I'm not clear when , how, (even if) it actually takes effect.

Hello,
Yes, the default style tempo can be overriden by the tempo setting defined for the style's entry in the StylePicker. So if you start a new song in a particular style, it will default the tempo in the StylePicker (unless it is a user style that hasn't been defined in an .ls3 file).

Yes, that's pretty much what I was saying. Point is, can the user get the opposite effect - i.e. the style tempo being robust/dominant ?

Hello Ian,
You could save the style under a different name, a non-PGMusic name, and this style will then use the default style tempo, and appear in the Other Styles Found category. Or you could create a new StylePicker entry for the style, using the StylePicker editor (Edit button) and enter the tempo in there. This style would appear in a new category.
