Hi Mike.........

Cool blues tune. Sounds a little heavy on the bass on my system, and seems to be some distortion, or fuzziness in the overall recording. It may be the organ, not sure. Just thought I let you know.

Thanks, buddy ... played it via my monitors and all the sounds were clear. It even withstood my radio stream, which actually adds a bit of compression to all the music to keep broadcasting somewhat at the same level. No distortion whatsoever. I'll check again, though.

Thanks for the listen! Appreciate it!

Mike

Mike;

I liked it. It distorted over here at about

20, 40, 75, and somewhere around 1:30 . Then I quit keeping track. I like the b-3. I am going to try that on some stuff someday.

Thank you, folks ... you are ABSOLUTELY correct!!! I am not sure what I was listening to when I did this mix, but you are absolutely right about the distortion and, most of all, clipping! I've uploaded a remix and I think this might be much more pleasing to your ears .... Oh yeah, and I remembered Mac's advice about the laid back feel as well!

Thanks for your input, I think I MIGHT have nailed this one now! If not, please let me know! I truly appreciate all of your input!

Cheers.
Mike

That's some wonderful tone on the guitar playing. Nice phrasing, too. Since you have "real band", you might have turned a short section over to another instrument to add a tad more variety.

Probably the only "nit" is that the two guitars didn't seem to "work together" too much.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks so much. That's good advice. I was kind of wondering about the very same. Maybe some harp in there would work wonders.

Appreciate the kind input.

Thanks,
Mike

First off great chops man! Very nice touch and tone!

Yea, a harp may sound better than the other guitar but I would use the Hammond. I love Hammond and guitar combos.

But this is top shelf material even if you make no changes.

It's all good Mate. I didn't get to hear the 1st cut. But this one is top of the deck here. Clean and balanced well. It needs some vocal to break up the constant monotany of the guitar. No offense to your guitar playing, please. Not what I mean. It's just that it's guitar over and over. Some vocals, maybe some sax, harp, and, yes, definitely the B-3, would make it untouchable.

Is this an original? If so you've got a good blues hit going on. Keep up the good work and try to think vocal.

Hey Mario, thanks for the nice comment and the advice. I'm weighing my options right now.

Not quite sure where I will go with the final version of this as of yet, but, there will be yet another revision coming. LOL!

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Russell,

I know what you mean with the guitar taking the main stage in this piece. YES, this is an original and you're right, vocals or even just a sax might make it better. But, vocals would probably best for this tune.

I'll consider it, for sure. I am waiting for my new mixer, though. It's this puppy.

Availability yet delayed again. Oh well ... patience, eh?

Mike

FINALLY, SoundClick had some issues with updating songs. Now then, I have refined the mix without having those overlapping guitar solos, which some of you didn't like ... still trying to work on some vocals, but for now, I think this might do okay as is...

Thanks again for all your input. You've been very helpful!!

Mike
