Kevin,

I just finished listening to some of your soundclick posts. Great stuff. Are any of the songs copyrighted?

I've written one or two myself the "old fashion" way (plucking out on a guitar). I want to see what BIAB will do to add that "little extra" once I get the hang of the software.

Again, great stuff!

LOL! As soon as anything is created and "fixed in any tangible medium of expression" it is copyrighted. If you are asking if I have "registered" my copyrights with the LOC, then the answer is yes and no. Some songs have and some haven't. The chances of my songs being "stolen" and then someone making a profit on them is very, very small -- so my urge to register copyrights is not very great. I will probably send my RPM 2009 album in as a collection at some point in time.

I think you will find it can do a whole lot! Just adding bass and drums to any tune is a major, major improvement. Good luck with it.

I like it big time! Nice cool blues with fine chops. Good production too.
Bit of a sudden start of the song, but a job very well done.

What format do you convert your songs to in order to post to Soundclick?

Soundclick only accepts MP3 files (encoded at 44.1khz / 16bit). My Sonar HS 6XL allows me to export directly to MP3. Or I could export as a WAV file and then use free tools (I-Tunes?) to convert from WAV to MP3. Although Soundclick "streams" at 128kbs MP3 quality, I often just upload 256kbs MP3's and Soundclick seems to take care of everything.

I want to thank everyone for their kind comments and want to apologize for my late response.

My Father-in-Law fell ill and was in a nursing home under hospice care. He finally gave up his fight and passed away this Wednesday morning.

Thanks again for all your kindness and input.

Blessings,
MIke

Cheers,
Mike

Thank you, Mike. We will all end up there eventually, sooner or later!

We celebrated his life last night. We feel better, but a bit hung over today.

Cheers,
Mike
