OK. So here is the deal. I just did a fresh install with 2013. The problem still exists. However, there is a work around.
If I set the track type to stereo and record to the right channel, I get the problem I fist mentioned -- harmonizer produces silence.
If I set the track type to mono, I get the second problem -- VU meters move but nothing is recorded.
The workaround:
If I set the track type to stereo and record to the left channel, everything appears to work correctly.
I don't know whether this a a bug, or something I am not understanding about how the program works.
In any case, Thanks for sticking with me to work this out Noel and Mac. You are both appreciated.
