All I can think of is the obvious.

Did you try going to the realband execute in Windows Explorer and try double clicking it (then you'll know which drive you are starting realband from)

Did you try to re-reinstall it?
You said you were updating USB, but you have the problem on C:
Install Realband directly to C: from the new USB drive. Leave the other drive out of it.

Next would be to rename RB.CFG and Realband.ini to see if it was a previous saved setting that was the problem.
