Hi Gravel,

Welcome to the forums.

Could you please work through the below process as it will help narrow down the problem. (If the BIAB package you purchased does not have the style that I use as an example, please choose any style. It is the process that is important, not the style itself.)

Below is how I go about (re)assigning Realtracks to one or more of the individual BIAB tracks of Bass, Piano, Guitar, Strings. For this example, I'll use the Style _BALADAP.STY.

1. Left-click on "Style" to open the Style Selection Window.

2. Under the "Category" column, select "Country (All)" (#1); select "_BALADAP" (#2); select "Load Song Demo" (#3). Click "OK" at the bottom of the style picker window. This will load the style into BIAB and also load in PG Music's demo for that style.

3. After clicking "OK" in the style picker window, the Chord Window will appear with a chord progression present. Set the number of Choruses to "1" by left-clicking on the "3" circled in red below. (If this is left at "3", the song will play through 3 times. If that's fine, leave it as is.)

4. To change the instrument on the Strings track: right-click on "Strings" (#1); select "Assign Realtracks ..." (#2). The Realtrack Picker Window will now open.

5. I'll change the electric guitar that's presently on the Strings track to a mandolin Realtrack. For this reason, I'm selecting #1601: Mandolin, Rhythm Pop 16 Melodic Ev065.

6. The mandolin track now needs to be generated for BIAB to know what to play. There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest is to click on the "Generate" button at the bottom of the Realtrack picker window (#1). I could also click on the "Close" button (#2). If I click "Close", though, I still need to generate the track.

6. If "Close" was clicked in point 5 above, then it's necessary either use the "GenPlay" button to (re)generate all the tracks in the song ...

... or to right-click on Strings tracks and choose to generate just that single track.

7. It will take a few seconds for the generation of the Realtrack to complete. Once it's done, the song should play with the newly selected Realtrack. (Note: Realtrack generation can be monitored by watching the "track/percentage" indicators I've highlighted in the image below.)

Hope this helps,
Noel
