Oh my, BiaB is a bad boy to me. I am addicted!

I had about 7 computers to repair and still 6 to 10 songs to overdub and to mixdown from my last recordings. The band involved here fortunatelly had some timing problems themselves, and so their product had been delayed for that reason, and therefore they don't complain, but well it is a fact that the delay is on my side right now. Who to blame? Hmmm, yeah BiaB is the bogeyman here, I can't seem to get my disciplines in order. (someone got to take the blame right?)

So now I hit myself in the face, and go back to do the computer-repairs and make submixes for the recorded tracks as well. BiaB now has to wait, otherwise in the end only me and my BiaB will be the only thing I work on ever. So I guess I might not be much online in the coming days, maybe even weeks (depends on the band's time to come over to record new tracks again), so see you around guys.

Look foreward to your return AB. Nice to be busy with work, even though it does detract from the important things in life, such as BIAB.

Wait a minute. Did you say you're recording a band in BIAB? Why?

You can fix the latency problem by going into ASIO, if your soundcard supports it. If not I think you can use ASIO4ALL, a driver that fools the computer and soundcard, and helps a lot with timing issues. However I don't know what soundcard you have. You might just post what you're running on that computer, such as,
    1. Soundcard

    2. Memory

    3. Processor

    4. Hard drive and size/speed
With this info we can help make better judgements for your system and help give you better ideas.

Next thing is, what version of BIAB do you have? If it's the latest you ought to be using Real Band for recording your band.

@Toucher:
Thanks toucher. Well as you can see, I am still able to log in, even if it is just for a few minutes. I will have a peak whenever I can. But I leave BiaB for what it is for a while, that's all. And dang! yes, it is addicting...

@Russel
Well no, I do no band recordings in BiaB. Those I do in Protools. I am not sure where my entree made the mix up to make you think so, but well I was not speaking of any latency related problem in BiaB either. The timing problems I talked about was about the band who could not synchronize their agenda's or with my schedules back then, and my delay was referring to the fact I had other things going on of which BiaB was one of those things, so I was a bit lacking in responding to my duties. But well you can't blame me as I allready blamed BiaB!

Maybe my English, knowing it is not my first language, causes some confusion now and then. If that occurs, my apologies. In this care it might have been as we call it, a "cold joke" from my side being misunderstood....

AB,
Your English is fine. I understood exactly what you meant.

Some stuff I use does the same thing to me.

Thanks Gary, good to know I am been read in the right way. Sometimes I just doubt if I have said something in an odd way or something. So maybe it is something that could be interpretted in a different way.

Well anyway, I am hooked. That was the bottom line of the whole story up here, and even got hooked to the forum. Can't log of my screen so in between matters I peep in and read stuff again. Wewwww, is there a doctor in the house that can cure me from the BiaB-PGMusic-flue? :S

I don't speak Dutch, never been to the Netherlands, and I didn't mean to offend. Did I say it right to mean a compliment?
I haven't heard of your reputation. . . Should I book a flight?

Not offended at all, just making a joke

A lot of people think of tulips, wooden shoes and windmills when it comes to theNetherlands (also wrongly referred to as Holland) Most people however will mention the liberal "soft" drugs policy our gouvernement seems to think is wise. You can legally posess and purchase soft drugs for personal use here. And since our politicians use every opportunity they have to ventilate and defend that policy....Well, it doesn't do your national reputation much good, does it?

Ah politics.There are loads of examples why it works. To know an effect of certain decisions, one needs to know the results of positive and negative influences as well as what that subject really is about, instead of running after ghoststories, scared people like to yell around. I am not going into that, since it is not a political forum, although I totally agree with the legalisation of SOFTdrugs, eventhough I don't use it. It is the line between hard and softdrugs that becomes obvious and easier to deal with and fight it, and absolutely not the bridge as many think towards the harddrugs. It would become the bridge to it if you would make it the same, so illegal, same as harddrugs. Anyway, as I said, I better am not going into that, allready said too much. (And Ab zips his mouth)

You think it bad to be addicted to BiAB, I should be practising, and more practising, I have a long way to go to be a renowned brass player.
Oh no, addicted to forums on the internet is my excuse, and here I am writing on yet another forum. LOL.
