ah, but a "sus" chord when HELD for a beat, or two, does sound more sustained than suspended

I seem to remember (long ago, in a galaxy and far, far away) I had seen a few pop music, not teaching or classical books, for GUITAR that called them, incorrectly, sustained chords not suspended. Also this seems to be a more common mistake then you would think

talking to "kids" at the local guitar music store they too might easily refer to them as "sustained" chords
