The program won't build a songfile for me. It gets to the end, returns a box that says file i/o error and no songfile is built. I do have a lot of files (10,000+) so that might have something to do with it.
I really need to be able to search among my songs. Please help.

I haven't heard of that problem before. The song limit is 20,000 songs, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Try rebuilding half of the songs (5,000), see if that works, and go from there.
One cause would be a corrupted song file (that is crashing the program when it attempts to load it)

thanks, Peter. I love the program.
One of your tech people suggested changing user account control in control panel and running biab as administrator. I am doing that now. I hope that will work.
How do I run the songfile and limit it to 5000?

There isn't a way to do that, other than moving all but 5,000 files out of the folder.
