Hi Gravel, I'm not sure but I suspect that the (p4) refers to the fact that BIAB has instructed the software to play a set note on the bass for 4 bars. In classical theory, this is called a "ground bass" or "pedal point". To access this ...  - right-click on the first chord in the bar (1)
- select "Chord Settings" from the pop-up menu (2)
- check that "Beat 1" is selected (3)
- select a chord pattern from the drop-down menu (4)
- enter the note you want the bass to play and for how many bars you want it to be played (5)
- click on OK
