I won't say the name of a forum I was in 10 years ago. However it was a major one in the UK with over 10,000 members. The owner used to get in with a good bucketful of drink in him and would start what was known as a ' suicide Sunday thread ' You'd get members on one side begging him not to and others offering to help him. It was hilarious. Multiple bannings always took place and members would return under a different alias. The thread would usually vanish sometime the next morning
