This goes beyond funeral marches to "never even born"
I have read somewhere that is really helps not to practice your mistakes. It is hard to believe that I have to play some passages that slow to not make mistakes, but alas, it is true. However, when I play it once or twice without mistakes and then bring the tempo up it feels comfortable. I promise not to stay on dirge tempos but for brief periods of time.
