One of the easiest ways I use is to RightClick on a bar and choose "Bar Settings" and use the MUTE function there to mute the solo track at the specified bars. Pay attention to bars and chorus numbers in that dialog.

I find this method can work better than the other one, which uses the Soloist dialog and only generates a Solo part for the specified chorus. For one thing, I can sometimes take advantage of invoking it a bar or two earlier before the chorus actually starts, depending on the type of solo and genre of the song, this can sometimes emulate what live soloists might do. Same for the end of the Solo, sometimes you may find that BB generated something rather delightful in the bar following the end of the chorus and may elect to hold the muting off until the following bar.

I like it also because it is nondestructive in nature. The entire Solo is still hiding in there and at a later date all it takes is changing of the Mute settings to get parts of it back, sometimes very useful as the project grows.
