Hi All,
Brand new member- I have a song using a real tracks - I want to make it an MP3- dont know where to start- need to save as MP3 and then get onto a jump drive to put on IPAD.

In the top menu, go to AUDIO, then "Render MIDI to Stereo..."
A window will appear with a number of options. You will probably have to experiment a few times with thee options before you get exactly what you want.
You may have to render as a WMA rather than MP3. WMA will run fine on your ipad.

Hi Bob, Alternatively to Flatfoot's suggestion, if you have BIAB 2013, you might like to try the following. (BIAB often has more than one way to accomplish tasks!) 1. Select "File" (1) and then select "Export song as .mp3" (2).  2. When the dialogue box for saving the file pops up, navigate to which folder you want to save the song in and give it a name. (I'd choose something that makes it easy to find. The default folder is the \bb directory and it might be a challenge to find the file in there given that there are so many files in that directory.) 3. A yellow box will pop up to tell you that your song is being rendered. 4. Make sure that MPEG Layer-3 is selected (1). From the dropdown menu choose a suitable quality for the mp3 (2) - I favour 192 at 44.1 (stereo) and suggest that 128 at 44.1 (stereo) should be the minimum quality. Don't worry that the box labelled #3 says "untitled". You've already created a title when you first clicked on the "Export as mp3" option.  Hope this helps, Noel

I've done a lot of rendering of BIAB files to MP3, and have found that BIAB 2013 makes this a lot easier.
I drop them into a folder for exported files, then get iTunes to "Add Folder to Library". I then get iTunes to fill in the relevant "Info" fields, and sync with the iPad.
Incidentally, I think that the box marked "3" in Noel's response above is intended for users to save a particular output audio format+quality in a named file for future use - this box isn't for the name of the output file.
