Hi Andrew, I am using a Line 6 UX2,---2 XLR's; 2 phone plug inputs (one w/ pad); and 2 line ins. I only use one input at a time.

I use an old ESI Maya 1010 with multiple inputs and I wished Realband had more input possibilities in the trackview, (like the inspector in Cakewalk)

I am new to this game but have started using a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (two channel) USB Audio Interface that I paid about $150.00 for. Generally, one channel is connected to a Yamaha MG8/2FX mixer so I have reverb on the voice channel, and the other is connected directly to the audio interface.
The audio interface is connected to a pair of KRK Rokit 5 powered speakers.

Ow , just a thought. Would it not be better to add reverb after as a plug in effect. If you record the reverb it is permanate. I messed up a few takes in the old days doing that. Now I record almost everything dry first. No wrong way I guess just an observation.

I import most of my audio files into my computer. I normally use a digital recorder offline from the computer. When I do use my computer, I use a Digidesign Mbox2.

I've been using an EMU 1820M for years but a couple of months ago it started acting up, the sound would suddenly freeze with weird crackling and distortion type noises. It may be dying so I switched to my Roland Sonic Cell as the interface. Works fine just not as many ins/outs.

I use a Presonus AudioBox 44vsl. It can record up to 4 tracks but so far I've just used 1. I'm still trying to get used to it. Studio one artist 2 came with it but I still use Realband or PowerTracks Pro to record with.occ

I've got and use the following interfaces M-Audio Delta 1010 (8 in, 8 out) M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R (8 in, 8 out) M-Audio Audiophile USB (2 in, 2 out) Behringer UCA202 (2 in, 2 out) Behringer Xenyx X1622 USB mixer (2 in, 2 out) I mostly record mono or stereo tracks but when I record drums I will use all 8 inputs on the first two. I just bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 so I would have dedicated audio outputs for sending chord tracks to harmony devices (such as the Digitech HarmonyMan or a TCHelicon vocal processor)
plus, in the studio I can keep nearfield monitors and active PA speakers hooked up simultaneously so I'm prepared whether I want to jam or record.

Using (and hating) a Focusrite Scarlett 2/2. I constantly have to pull the USB plug to re-establish the ASIO driver. I am told by PG Music support that this is not a product they recommend or support. Too late, I own it already.
So that begs the question, "is there a list of supported products so I don't make this mistake of buying something unreliable when combined with Real Band?"

I am currently using a Line 6 Toneport UX1 on both Win XP and Win 7 64 bit Professional computers.
It has 1 Mic and 1 Inst input on front and a Headphone Jack. There are 2 line Inputs and a Monitor Input on the rear along with the USB connection and 2 Analog Outs.
Note that I had to download Pod Farm 2 and a Driver from the Line 6 website before Win 7 would recognize the UX1. The original Toneport/Gearbox Driver and application installation disk would only work with Win XP
Gearbox and POD farm applications have different interfaces and Tone names which requires some relearning and experimentation.
The UX1 has been discontinued and replaced by the POD Farm units.
So far I have only tried to record one input (Mic or Guitar or Midi Keyboard) at a time.

I use the Focusrite Saffire (firewire) interface. I normally record only one input at a time although it has 2 in and 8 out.
Focusrite rocks!
This interface has transitioned from the Dell lappy to my custom built DAW.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

I use a Creative X Fi Titanium card which works well in ASIO mode but the WMA drives are suspect. I tend to record one track at a time to Audio because I use a variety of synths and mixing at that stage is problematic.

Focusrite Liquid PRO56, since update 3.2 and 3.3 no problems with any audio and/or video software.(This until recently with Realband 2013 v4, and then probably only to do with windows and file handling by FP32.exe, please see posts "range check error" and "FP32.exe".) -F

Fireface 400. Like it. Stable. At 48k 24 bit sounds very close to recorded sounds. Sounds better than the m-audio and other stuff, which to me were noticably less clear and transparent.. Never tried the basic apogy, but my friend likea his. I guess that's my next choice if i had to sell my gearand couldn't afford one like mine with plenty of tracks. I record and monitor using a mixer, so on my little beringer mixer i send 6 track signals and tracks 3-4 are my axe fx, 5-6 are backup, to monitor other things besides guitar, when i don't to record a bandmate, but 1-2 are the mixdown and main outs.
I use fireface drivers, and windows audio from the motherboard audio card on my lenovo pc goes out simultaneously into cheesy computer monitors, so i can play along to vid tutorials.
RME makes good drivers and i am lucky i was able to avoid tge cheaper gear, which just did not reproduce an exact enough signal. I have had the fireface for 4 years and never had a prob or needed to update the driver...don't tell RME.
