After the answers to my questions from some of the forum members I went ahead and bough the Fast Track® C600
audio interface.

It took me about 4 hours to get it installed and wrestling with the ASIO (this program does not support MAC Based Data formats) issues finally got RB talking to it!

I am so pleased with the amount of cables, mixers etc that I now got off my recording/mixing desk (even the wife now believes the "value for money" spiel)

but it's not all, this amazing little box even solved an issue which I did not realise I had!

I have a Rhode NT2A mic that I feed into a DigiTech Vocalist Live 4 harmoniser. I used to just take the mono output out to my mixer into the M-Audio USB for recording and it seemed OK to me.

When I checked the C600 out I then took both the mic outputs into the channel 1 and 2 and selected that for recording on the RB track. Kept the track stereo and what an amazing difference. The harmonies are now much more distinct....I could not believe the difference

Another thing I noticed is that everything is now as clear as a bell!! No noise anymore!!!

(Sorry... had to tell someone who would understand and maybe be interested)

Rharv, you were right! I will have to re-think my process a bit but I am beginning to think that it will be easier from here on ..

I'm doing allright for Country Trash ....

I used to care, but things have changed (Bob Dylan)
