Band In A Box is definitely the better program overall - when only comparing the midi backing functionality. Chordbot does not do Realtracks or anything like them.

Realband is a sequencer and a totally different beast.

Chordbot has some features that BIAB doesn't.

Firstly - it generates backings on the Android device or iPhone directly whilst BIAB apps need a connection to the PC to function. If BIAB made midi generation intrinsic to the Android and iPhone apps they would have a best seller.

Secondly - odd time signatures are easy to accomplish as part of the way chords are entered into Chordbot. An update is coming to allow 1/8 note resolution here.
Thirdly - chord voicings and inversions can be chosen to achieve exactly what you want.

Chordbot does not replace BIAB - it compliments it. It is always nice to have many tools to achieve a goal.
